Congratulations Kay and Grant on an absolutely beautiful wedding weekend! It was not just the weather, the venue, the flowers, the clothes, the cake, and all the multitude of other details that were so beautiful, but the love between these two best friends that made the event truly remarkable. Kay and Grant celebrated their special day at Fort Lewis Lodge. Fort Lewis is an exquisite bed & breakfast in the Hot and Warm Springs area of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The Lodge is nestled in a scenic river valley at the foot of Shenandoah Mountain near the soothing waters of Virginia’s historic Warm and Hot Springs. It rained quite a bit a few days before the wedding and on the day before the wedding there was a lot of standing water in the outdoor location where the ceremony was to be held. Luckily this turned out not to be a problem, because there were other equally scenic spots on the grounds where the ceremony could take place. When they decided on the new location, Kay couldn’t believe that they had not found it before! It was so perfect! Kay was to start her walk down the aisle from the top of a lovely green field with a gorgeous view. As she walked down the long aisle to the bottom of the hill, she could see all of their special friends and family seated below waiting to witness the couple’s commitment of love to one another. The air was crisp and cool and it was truly a perfect day to celebrate love and the beginning of a union between two wonderful people.
I feel so blessed to have met this couple and to call them my friends. Kay & Grant, thank you for a beautiful wedding day. I am so honored that you invited me to share this day with you and I wish for you both many wonderful, happy and fun years together!
Love,
Gayle
