Meet “The Dutchmann”, nicknamed “Dutch” a new half Arabian horse that I have on trial for a few months. I have decided to retire my wonderful quarter horse, Coosa, who I have owned and ridden for 17 years! Coosa is now 21 years old and I can still ride him, but he is starting to show some signs of wear and tear so I thought it would be best to retire him from endurance competition. I had been looking for a new horse that I can compete in endurance rides and found Dutch from a wonderful lady in North Carolina. Dutch used to be a show horse and his owner, not showing him anymore, thought he would make a great trail/endurance horse. Dutch and I did our first trail ride a few days ago and he was perfect on the trail! I am hoping that he will work out for me. Here is a picture of sweet Dutch.
